Gina Russo- Digital Media

I always thought of graphic designers to be people who make pretty pictures for lots of money. Though, I was just trying to be a nut about it. It’s a lot deeper than that to me. A graphic designer is a person or a group of people that comes together to meet a clients’ needs for something needed design-wise that is for a company label, overall layouts (such as magazines, newspapers, and other publications.) Since I am a terrible drawer, I really enjoy the fact that not all of the drawings done for a client is done by hand, a lot can be done by computer! Even if a drawing was done by hand, the computer could enhance the picture. It’s also more than just drawing, there’s having to pick the color and texture of paper, ink for the printing, what colors are involved in the picture itself, text, etc. Almost like planning your wedding on a piece of paper, except no one get’s married in the end and the final product leaves with another.
Qualifications for having a job in graphic design include the factor of being able to comprehend with illustrating software such as: Adobe. Before sending in a resume, a graphic designer must at least have a bachelor's degree. With time’s changing, graphic designers must also be able to keep up with the changing of new software and becoming adaptable. They should also be good problem solvers, communicators, and good at staying up late because there will definitely be stress!
I agree that it would be better to work in groups when it comes to designing rather than working alone. Better than having all the pressure on one person, and having to come up with ideas.
